Cinque Terre is one of the most uncontaminated areas of Liguria and of all the Tirrenic Sea and it covers five miles of rocky coast between two promontories.
It is made up of five villages located on steep spurs and small bays. Cinque Terre became Unesco World Heritage in 1997.
Viticolture is typical of this area and it contributed to the creation of such an unique landscape: dry stone walls built on sheer cliffs, bays and beaches.
Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso offer not only this enchanting sea landscape but also marvellous hiking paths though the wood between villages and the chance to visit all the small villages by the coast.
Cinque Terre's tradition offers you wine and food which combine land and sea products. |
